More about Nijmegen European Green Capital 2018

Nijmegen European Green Capital has started. During the opening ceremony Hubert Bruls, Mayor of Nijmegen, received an alternative chain of office, produced with gold and silver from old electric devices, such as smartphones, and copper from old gas pipes.

The Green Capital programme is divided into five key themes:

  • Vital City;
  • Energy Transition;
  • Climate Change
  • Circular Economy;
  • Smart Mobility.

Citizens are encouraged to participate in monthly themed challenges.

Here you can find what will happen from week to week:

Challenging questions are:

  • what about Nijmegen European Green Capital supporting a transition into agroforestry in its region?
  • what about agroforestry around Nijmegen supporting Nijmegen European Green Capital?

We will find answers during our congress.
